Twelve-year-old Bailey lives with her loving but irresponsible father Bug and rebellious brother Hunter in a small town in the East of England. When a mysterious stranger named Bird unexpectedly enters her life, Bailey longs to spread her wings and leave her broken home. The queen of European independent film, Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank), returns to the Cannes Film Festival after eight years with this magical coming-of-age story, made powerful by brilliant performances and the lightness of touch of such notable names from the British music scene as Fontaines D.C., Blur, Damon Alban, Coldplay and The Verve.
