musica moralia (HU)

entry: free entrance

musica moralia is a project of a Hungarian singer and multi-instrumentalist Éda Meggyesházi (cimbalom, organ, voice). Her work has a distinctive atmosphere, stylistically moving in the experimental, post-folk sphere. In her own words, she plays a quiet sound, sometimes on the dulcimer, other times on the piano. She began composing on two-string guitar and piano, later switching to cello, meanwhile inexplicably drawn to analog synthesizers from the 80s. She has been on the music scene for over a decade. Currently working on her second LP, her live performances are accompanied by a band with Péter Jakab (guitar, bass, synth) and Márton Király (drums).

Before the concert, don’t miss the installation and participatory performance by Asztrid Csátlos: “Everything dies, everything blossoms again”

The event is held in English and is the outcome of a residency in A4 within the VARP programme supported by the International Visegrad Fund. The project is supported by the Slovak Arts Council and the Bratislava City Foundation.
