presented by Lukáš Krajčír, discussed by Eva Škorvanková, Dušan Kováč
Open diplomacy and the seas, freedom to nations in autocracies and colonies and an international peace forum. Deliberations of the American president Woodrow Wilson (1856 – 1924) were at the foundations of a new, more democratic Europe and Czechoslovakia. A president with his virtues and vices became an inspiration for the works of Slovak and Czech poets. Who was Wilson and what is his message? Poetry of Democracy is a cultural – educational format about society, history, and literature, which through engaged poetry focuses on the importance of democracy as the, so far, most suitable system of society, in the days of the centiversary of the ČSR and the rise of the extreme right and extreme left.
