Under the label film x art, Kino inak will regularly bring you films about art. We will begin with the project Manifesto, in which the German filmmaker and video artist Julian Rosefeldt offer 13 stories of 20th-century art. It is not the artist who are in the forefront nor their lives or works, but ideas – 60 avant-garde manifestos presented (or rather acted out) by Cate Blanchet. Everything begins with Marx and Engels Communist Manifesto, which sets the atmosphere of rebellion against the established order and continues with Tristan Tzara, Dziga Vertov, Guy Debord, Sol LeWitt, and many others all the way to Jim Jarmusch and his Golden Rules of Filmmaking.
