Our series of films about art “film X art” continues with the documentary film about a musical experiment. In June 1995 the avant-garde artist Karlheinz Stockhausen from New York has premiered his new work – a composition for four helicopters and a string quartet. The documentarist Frank Scheffer captured the rehearsal and the performance and created a fascinating portrait of a genius at work.
