Based on Antigona by Sofokles, directed by M. Popović, starring Z. Psotková and choir, dramaturgy by D. Čiripová, costumes by A. Štrbová, music by S. Szabó, produkction PORT o.z.
The performance shows the story through the nowadays rebel Antigona who is representing social justice courage and examines the position of humans in a community that protects them and liquidates them at the same time. Antigona fights against the society, injustice of the law, hate and male domination despite risking her own life. The right of an individual / a woman for freedom and a life in democratic society (seemingly free and decent) is still endangered and fragile.
The creation of the performance was financially supported from public funds by the main partner of the project Slovak Arts Council.
