Based on Antigona by Sofokles, directed by M. Popović, starring Z. Psotková and the choir,
dramaturgy by D. Čiripová, costumes by A. Štrbová, music by S. Szabó, produkction PORT

The performance tell the story of the contemporary rebel Antigona who represents the social
justice courage and examines the position of humans in communities that protect and liquidate
them at the same time. Antigona fights against the society, injustice of the law, hate and male
domination despite risking her own life. The right of an individual / a woman for freedom and a life
in democratic society (seemingly free and decent) is still endangered and fragile.
The creation of the performance was financially supported from public funds by the main partner of
the project Slovak Arts Council.
