Pop mass, apocalyptic cheerleaders, selfies and livestreams: musically scenic performance is an immersive and participatory experience with rituals inviting the audience to become a part of the pop cult.

Parisian multimedia collective △†een▲ge g☺ d examines the borders between religion and pop culture, viewers and performers, high and low culture. In the captivating and ever-changing satire on celebrity culture and gods the fans of the cult set up the crooked mirror to each other – and to the consume capitalism. The performance is an adaptation of the film “teen thriller” by Armando Navarra about a teenage pop fan, who accidentally becomes a god of religious cult. Get ready for ritual visions as if from Jadorowsky’s films mixed with supermarket pop, Justin Bieber and dark metaphysical noises sounding like the industrial Throbbing Gristle.
