Springy creative walks for children with A4

Creative workshops with Danka Krajčová for children from 6 to 11 years old

The series of creative walks is inspired by the surroundings of A4. During each creative workshop the children react to a different specific place – be it the building of YMCA, market at Žilinská street, Paláriková Street or Slovak Radio Building and many more.

At first we will take a walk to the place we are going to explore on the given day. We will talk about its history, current state, function, architectural and natural elements. We will take pictures, make drawings of shapes, objects and places that interest us.

Children will then – either at the place or in the atelier in A4 – artistically react to the visited place – they will try out various techniques, learn to creatively approach what they’ve seen and experienced, and how to sensitively observe their surroundings and its various contexts.

Techniques: drawing with pencils, ink, chalk, pastel, drawing in sand, painting with aquarelle, tempera paints, clay, printing, frottage, cut-outs, creating simple 3D models, creating with found materials and recyclable objects. 

All dates are: every Wednesday from the 23th of March till the 25th of May 2022

The materials are included in the price. Capacity is limited, max number of children in the group: 15

On the last Wednesday of March we are going to celebrate the 18th BIRTHDAY OF A4 – of course, with art! The workshop participants will create parts of the decoration for the A4 Birthday party which will take place on 1st and 2nd of April 2022.
