Melos-Étos: Gareth Davis a EnsembleSpectrum

entry: 10 € / 7 € reduced

EnsembleSpectrum, conductor M. Sloboda, bass clarinet G. Davis, live-electronics M. Mrva

The leading British bass clarinetist Gareth Davis with the Slovak ensemble EnsembleSpectrum at the Melos-Étos international festival! The evening will present the world premiere of the conceptual composition “Bratislava” by the Swiss composer Roland Dahinden. The rest of the concert includes Slovak premieres composition such as Échange by Iannis Xenakis, Senusual Sky by Horatio Radulesca for 8 instruments and a fixed medium (sound track with a sound icon), or the multimedia work F1 by the German composer Alexander Schubert, where we follow the dialogue of the metaphorical character of a rabbit representing the author and death. Absurd experimental musical theater connects all components of the concert with its pseudo-drama parodying many representations of human discussions about being.

The Melos-Étos International Contemporary Music Festival is organized by the Music Center.
