Greece, year 1984. Young lovers Kenneth and Theres earn their travel money by busking. When Kenneth finds out about his mother’s accident, he has to come back and leave Theres behind in Greece. Berlin, thirty years later: the actress Ariane is leaving her husband. Two seemingly different stories about the end of a love meet in a stylistically intricate film. Leading representative of the Berlin School, directress Angela Schanelec is again uncompromising in the content and form alike.
