entry: presale 10 € / 7 € reduced // at the door 13 € / 10 € reduced

Composer, multi-instrumentalist and performer Ka Baird is one of the most innovative figures on the New York experimental scene. Their inspirations include sacred flute music from New Guinea, chants from Budundi as well as Can, Maryanne Amacher and Don Cherry.

In their captivating performances, Ka Baird pushes the boundaries of conventional genre forms, whether they use extended vocal techniques, flute or electronics complemented by ecstatic choreography. They have a new album coming out in March, again on the renowned RVNG Intl label, and their concert is not to be missed.

Ondrey Zintaer, a musical experimenter combining free improvised playing on wind instruments with electronic music in between drone, noise, bustle and soundscapes, together with a recitation of his own poems, will take care of the opening of the evening. He has collaborated, among others, with Japanese drummer Ryosuke Kiyasu, plays in the Košice improvisation group EXITERS and sings in the dark-core band NIČITEĽ.

Supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council and Bratislava City Foundation.
