Resonance

entry: free entry

Resonance is an interactive installation of lights reacting to percussion instruments, where the viewer sees the greatest potential only when fully engaged with the work. Thus, until he plays the drums, he does not experience the main visual and technological intentions of this project. The composition of the lights around the percussion creates an experience not only for the participant, but also for the viewer who has, for example, just walked into the room with the installation. The overall intention of the project is to create a multifunctional environment that can support music through a light show tailored directly to a specific event. The procedural modulation of the signal and the infinity of possible settings makes sure that, with its play, every single person has their own version of the light show.

This is a presentation of Prokop Findeis’ Bachelor’s project entitled “Resonance”, which was created under the supervision of Jan Šick and Medialab* at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava.

Supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council and Bratislava City Foundation.
