The new Czecho-Slovak film is Beata Parkanová’s debut and follows the story of a young woman called Anežka who wishes to have good relationships with her family and romantic partners even if that means she has to compromise and avoid possible misunderstandings and conflicts. She doesn’t realize that the apparent peace surrounding her is only the calm before the storm – and the storm will surely hit.
