David Kollar & Arve Henriksen, Škvíry & Spoje

Slovak experimental guitarist David Kollar and the renowned Norwegian trumpet player and vocalist Arve Henriksen (also known from the band Supersilent) share the desire to discover new places located somewhere between jazz and contemporary avant garde. They both are established on the European scene and their fruitful collaborations had already brought a number of awarded and critically acclaimed records in the past years. Ethereal acoustic surfaces with the elements of both composition and improvisation with the delicate addition of electronica promise an exceptional experience. 

Czechoslovak quartet Škvíry & Spoje will release and celebrate their fresh new debut double-vinyl, recording more than a decade long history of this remarkable improvising ensemble. The duo Škvíry is composed of Michal Matejka (guitar) and Petr Vrba (wind instruments and electronics). The band Spoje consists of Jozef Krupa (drums) and Dalibor Kocián (vibraphone). The quartet’s stylistic range is moving on a wide scale of musician adventures – from free jazz, noise, through experimental music, to atmospheric moods, poly-rhythmical hypno-grooves and anything else.
