The films will be screened in a loop for 60 minutes before the evening performance.
La Danza in 1 Minuto is an international video dance contest promoted by COORPI (Turin, ITALY) and open to authors wishing to accept the challenge of creating innovative, courageous and high-impact video dance works. An opportunity to express, through a 60-second video, what meanings dance can assume in the broadest sense of the term. The time limit forces the author to reflect on the “necessity” of dance, on the urgency of its meaning.
Nu Dance Fest in collaboration with COORPI presents a selection of works from the ONE MINUTE – Z GENERATION! SECTION of the 10th edition of the video dance contest La Danza in 1 minuto, open to authors under 26.
“The authors of this year’s One Minute section tackled the issues that seem to be of most concern to Generation Z in recent years: the environment, civil rights, body identity, sexuality and mental health dialogue in perfect harmony with video and dance.
The latter, declined as pure movement made up of nervous, convulsive or liberating gestures, unleashes the impulses, hopes and fears of a generation, through different filmmaking styles that recall the analogue season of video art, animation, the digital world and film cinema.”
