Re-Imagine Europe: New Perspectives for Action

New Perspectives for Action (2023-2027) is a collaboration between fourteen interdisciplinary art organizations across Europe, building on the results of the previous Re-Imagine Europe project (2017–2021). The project aims to equip and empower young Europeans through artistic practices to better withstand societal challenges triggered by rapid climate change. To achieve this aim, the project responds to the needs of artists, organizations and audiences. Visegrad Artists Residency Program

Artistic residencies in A4

A4 regularly hosts Visegrad (V4) artists working in the field of new media, music and performance arts. During a residency period, makers have workspace at their disposal for research, development and experimentation and we offer them guidance. In doing so, we promote the development of makers’ artistic practices. Read more about A4's artists-in-residence in 2024.

Sound Experiments

New Approaches to Non-Formal Music Learning

Sound Experiments was a two-year international educational project of experimental sound for youth. The main project goal is to explore and develop alternative educational methods in the field of experimental music for youngsters, age 13 to 20. Unlike conventional music schools whose programme is based on traditional methods of teaching music, starting with scores and classical harmony, Sound Experiments puts an emphasis on listening, mutual sound research and co-creation among young participants and their mentors. Re-Imagine Europe

Re-Imagine Europe (2017-2021) was a collaboration of 10 European cultural organizations that develop, produce, present and distribute new cutting-edge art that addresses the social and political challenges we face today. Rising nationalism, climate change and migration are pushing European countries apart, while technological advances continue to change the ways that we interact, urging us to explore new modes of operation. Spaces of Transformation in Arts Education

Spaces of Transformation in Arts Education (SPOTing) brought together arts educators from 8 cultural centers around Europe. The project stimulated professional development of arts education within the organizations through research-based practices. Throughout the project each center carried out a testbed exploring new approaches to their arts education activities. Sharing working methods and results provided arts educators with new tools.
