A Hole in the Head

Director Robert Kirchhoff, SK/CZ, 90 min., Slovak

The tragedy of Roma people and Sinti in the Second World War has not never and nowhere been discussed too. They were murdered in tens, hundreds, thousands. On the edge of mass graves, in the concentration camps, by the roadside, with guns, hammers or gas. It was kept in silence because they were for many years marginalized and nowadays they still are. They survived, but each one has its own memory and scar as a proof. Today, when our world faces fascism again, they are one of the last witnesses of the Holocaust. They live with a hole in their head like a seal, a sign from the past.
