The double concert of two striking songwriters will be one of the peaks of this autumn. Haley Fohr is American experimental folk composer and singer with a distinctive baritone voice who started the project Circuit des Yeux when she was only eighteen. Since then she had released many critically praised records under labels such as Thrill Jockey or Drag City and collaborated with artists like Glenn Branca, Lee Ranaldo, Bill Orcutt and Bonny ‘Prince’ Billy. Atmospheric, heartfelt and dark (some might say “haunted”) songs will be played in Slovakia live for the first time.
Leto s Monikou is not only a title of Bergman’s film (Summer with Monika) but also a new songwriting project of Monika Midriaková (fka Monikino Kino). During her first concert in Bratislava we will welcome her fresh new album. “Playful melodies made for both dreaming and dancing, soft guitars, electronics and funny contemporary lyrics.”
