Christian Petzold continues his exploration of the European history and identity. His newest film takes place during the second world war while the civilians are fleeing France to escape the progressive German invasion. The main protagonist, Georg, takes on somebody else’s identity thanks to which he gets a chance to run to Mexico. With his new name come the new responsibilities – for the people that now become a part of his life and family.
