The Good Death

One of the most emotional Slovak documentary films of the last years examines the topic of assisted death. It follows Janette who is terminally ill and wants to die in dignity – even though the British law does not allow it. There is a long history of diagnosed muscular dystrophy in her family where it is genetically transmitted from one generation to another. Her mother lived imprisoned in her own body for decades. Janette knows the prognosis of her sickness and decides for voluntary death with medical assistance in Switzerland.
