Kapitalks: Postcommunism

Thirty years after the communist regimes had fallen in Eastern Europe. Nowadays we still hear how our communist past is the source of most social problems in our region – from corruption to nationalism. Is it still true? And was it ever? Is the term post-communism just a dry statement about the present times of Slovakia (and Czech Republic) after the 89, or is it a concept that uncovers the real origin of the challenges our society faces? All of the above will be discussed with Polish sociologist Jan Sowa from Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
