Overlooked: On Call

The new series of Kino Inak follows courageous and festival-successful films that ended up being overlooked in Slovakia. The first one is a uncompromising documentary film, one of the winners of Cinéma du réel by Alice Diop. The director observes the happening in a small ambulance in the suburbs of Paris, mostly visited by immigrants on the verge of poverty. In a matter-of-fact mood and with emotional power she testifies about the dysfunctional system, personal engagements of doctors and everyday dramas of the patients.
