Come to celebrate Beethoven’s birthday with us! Experience the music of Ludwig van Beethoven performed by the musicians of the VENI ensemble in an original concept of an open artwork “Ludwig van” by the composer Mauricio Kagel. Unlike the finished composition or unfinished work (work-in-progress) “Ludwig van” is first and foremost an idea. It tries to tell the interpreter and the listener that the music of the past must be, above all, performed as the music of the present. In this project the score for the interpreters takes the form of photography – which portray various objects covered in printed scores of the works of Ludwig van Beethoven. These objects will also appear in the film of the same name which will be premiered as a part of the evening’s program.
