Gareth Davis & Scanner (Robin Rimbaud), Alia Amnis

Two names known from the contemporary electronic music sphere and experiments with clarinet come together with a new project. British artist Scanner ((Robin Rimbaud) created a remarkable amount of recordings and sound installations and composed music for dozens of dance performances. The wide musical range of the bass clarinetist Gareth Davis allows him to cooperate on projects which range from contemporary classic, improvisation, orchestral music, rock, noise or electronica. Gareth performs with various ensembles ((Arditti Quartet, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart), improvisers and electronic artists (Elliott Sharp, Merzbow).

Slovak ensemble Alia Amnis is known for their repertoire of contemporary local music. The musicians use various sound possibilities of musical instruments, singing and spoken word, which allows them – in connection with electronic music – to create original, emotionally intense musical surfaces. Alia Amnis is four women – Iveta Vajó (vocal), Frederika Pöhmová (accordion and keys) Jana Santovjáková (recorder), Lenka Novosedlíková (vibraphone, percussion and live electronics). In A4 they will perform songs by Lenka Novosedlíková and Juraj Vajó.
