20 years A4 – B-DAY PA4TY! Rainy Miller, Sara Persico, ZULI, Kvaskova

entry: pre-sale 16 € / 12 € reduced // at the venue 20 € / 16 € reduced

What will be the musical celebration of A4’s 20th birthday? Look forward to a concert and party full of fresh music and Slovak premieres.

Rainy Miller (UK)
Producer, songwriter and performer Rainy Miller hails from Preston, UK and is one of a circle of related names such as Blackhaine, Iceboy Violet and Space Afrika. Live, pop, ambient and rap fuse in an ecstatic stage presence, where committed lyrics ring out over emotive autotune vocals.

Sara Persico (IT)
The Neapolitan-born Sara Persico has studied at the conservatory, but has also collaborated with figures of the world experimental scene such as Caterina Barbieri, Andy Moor and Elvin Brandhi. From ingredients such as her voice transformed by electronics, analogue synthesizers, deconstructed beats and distorted rhythmic snippets, she manages to knead a riveting performance.

ZULI (EG) presents λ (A/V) w/ visuals by Omar El Sadek
The renowned Egyptian electronica and sound artist Ahmed El Ghazoly aka ZULI is close to hip-hop, but artfully blends global and local influences. As a result, his work is a distinctive blend designed as much for listening to as it is for the dancefloor.
ZULI’s work is released with the UIQ label, which is backed by Lee Gamble. He brings us a recently premiered audiovisual show called λ, with visuals by Omar El Sadek.

Kvaskova (SK)
The domestic scene will be represented by the song-electronic project Kvaskova, behind which one should look for the singer, musician and actress Zdenka Kvaskova. She has worked, among others, in the Alexander Duchnovič Theater in Prešov and in the SkRAT theater. A few weeks ago she released her remarkable album Odmäk, the material of which was created on the train between Bratislava and Prešov and back and in her home studio during the last two years. At A4, we will experience the concert version of Odmäk for the first time.

Financially supported by the Slovak Art Council.
