The British-Australian composer and guitarist Chris Rainier is a specialist in playing Harry Partch’s works for adapted guitars. In his lecture, he will discuss the challenges of interpreting music composed in alternative tunings. He will also focus on the unique aspects of playing adapted guitars, specifically in the works of Harry Partch and in his own compositions.
