Body and material – two elements in one space whose existence are mutually dependent and which, for all the flexibility, fragility, and instability of their form, seem to defy the laws of gravity. Thin Skin is a visual-kinetic performance and meditative work of movement that combines elements of contemporary circus with physical theatre and seems to bend time in the process. Moving sculptures disappear as quickly as they appear. Their archetypal skeletons can be wrapped in meaning, or just let go. The body is pushed away into matter, the image into the mind, time bends. This intuitive physics demonstrates the basic principles of being in the earth’s gravitational field. Thin Skin is fragility, vulnerability, instability. The production won the International Jury Award at the 29th Czech Dance Platform.
