Glitch Tonic #2 / Sound & Art Meetup
entry: entrance free
Every month we dedicate a space for an informal gathering of a community of artists creatively working with sound, experimental music and new media art. An ideal opportunity to share ideas, exchange experiences, get to know people and build a community around original approaches to making. During the meetup, invited guests will show us their concert setups or reveal behind-the-scenes of their creative methods, and open discussion about current or work-in-progress projects is also welcome.
From hardware to software, from modular to boxes – the second meetup will showcase the concert setups of well-known figures in the Bratislava underground scene: Alica Volf, on_drwej and Urbanfailure.
ALICA VOLF plays as a dj and forms one third of the techno project NDS, in which she shapes noise effects using Pure Data and VCV Rack. In her solo project she tries to experiment more and create space-resonating sound collages.

ON_DRWEJ, also known from the band Godfathers, plays sets on modular synth that feature influences of dark drone ambient, IDM, tekno, deconstructed club, and noise.
URBANFAILURE a.k.a. Michal Lichý is one of the pioneers of the underground electronic scene in Slovakia, co-founder of the Urbsounds collective and label. In his improvised live sets he creatively uses various hardware synthesizers and sequencers.

Dear visitors,
The leadership of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic is taking steps that are destroying Slovak culture! Their power interventions and changes in laws threaten our functioning as well as freedom and diversity of art. We protest against this course! The cultural centers associated in the Anténa network call on you, our audience, not to stay indifferent. We call on you to follow current events, visit our cultural spaces and discuss.
Stay with us and let’s fight together for free culture.
