Japanese sound artist and composer FUJI|||||||||||TA creates distinctive sound art and music using various natural phenomena. In 2009, he handcrafted an original instrument, a portable pipe organ. Since then, he has been working on various other projects, but they share a certain minimalism and the fact that they mainly use the sounds of the air. The release of “iki” on the Hallow Ground label in 2020 also led to greater recognition outside of Japan, and he has since worked in Europe and North America. His work has been heard at Rewire Festival(NL), Big Ears Festival(US), MODE (UK), Tectonics Glasgow(UK) and more. He has also collaborated with prominent figures of the avant-garde scene such as ∈Y∋ (Boredoms), Keiji Haino, Rashad Becker and others.

The evening will open with a premiere concert by two improvisers, drummer Áron Porteleki and guitarist Štefan Szabó. Their music moves away from pigeonholes of stylishness and moves towards a more textural approach, relying heavily on conscious and deep listening–to each other and also to the given playing space.
