LECTURES in A4
News from history! April starts off with a new series of lectures in Kafe A4. Besides the regular and popular Futurit, Teasing and lectures of Paľo Fabuš, the series Messages will concentrate on Slovak history. Lead by the young historian Lukáš Krajčír, who is a historian in the Slovak history association of Matica Slovenská, we will look into the issues of women’s rights and emancipation and talk about one of the first feminists in our history, Hana Gregorová. Just a few days after the first female president of Slovak Republic was elected, the lecture is a reminder of the need for the female voices to be heard when making historical and political decisions.
MUSIC IN A4
We are welcoming the spring with musicians Tashi Wada, Julia Holter and Corey Fogel. The mystical and minimalistic music of Tashi Wada comes from L.A. and is combined with songs of Julia Holter and percussions of Corey Fogel. The evening will start with the performance of Slovak musician Michal Vaľko and his project Line Gate and the archaic instrument ninere.
