Professional Foreigner (Profesionalna cudzinka/Professionelle Fremde Irena Brezna)

Slovak Documentary film about Slovak-Swiss writer, journalist and war correspondent Irena Brezna who involuntarily followed her parents into emigration shortly after the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. Culture shock she experienced and personal guilt over “abandonment of her country” helped to shape her later professional career and interest in Easter European dissent movements and War in Chechnya.
