The Square

Ruben Östlund became famous by specific and uncomfortable satires and such is as well his latest film, recognized in Cannes by the Golden Palm. This time he focused on the world of contemporary art, urban liberals, and their hypocrisy. The center of attention is Christian, a curator, who is preparing an exhibition of conceptual art. One of the installations – a square, is a place in which the rules of absolute equality and tolerance are in force. To fulfill these ideals is hard because the real world is much more complicated.
