Recipient of the Silver Bear at last year’s Berlinale follows the singer Félicité, a brave and proud woman, for whom her melancholic songs are an escape from reality. One day, when her son has an accident, Félicité has to find money for his operation. She walks through the rich and poor streets of Kinshasa until she is helped by a peculiar man name Tabu. In this way, an eclectic threesome is formed, where they give hope to each other, an „island“ in the middle of an uncomforting city.
